There is a state forest park called Coochin Creek Camp Area in the Beerburrum Sate Forest. Beerburrum State Forest is all part of the Glasshouse Mountains.
I have camped there before, it's a great place and I highly recommend it. Here is a link to the EPA site that doesn't really give you to much info - https://www.epa.qld.gov.au/parks/iapark ... AGDS030.do
and a map of the camp site - http://www.epa.qld.gov.au/images/parks_ ... _creek.gif
A short drive on good gravel road off the Bruce Highway. Composting toilet but no showers. Right on Coochin Creek thats saltwater. Swmming great at the campsite and fishing great up and down the river. Boat ramp a few kilometers downstream from the camp site. Some firepits but you may need to take wood with you and often no fires at all due to fire bans. Sometimes no drinking water.
Here are a couple of photos. Been meaning to post a page on my website but never got around to it.
