Meh why would I put one of those heaps in there.
If i was putting a petrol chev in to a patrol it'd be a 283ci not a 350 heap of garbage.
Had 350s in some of our other cars. but the 283 is a FAR better motor through the range

Well I drive a 3.0ltr on the weekend. What a dissapointing experiance that was. Sure its got more kW but where the heck is the torque?
Im also definately avoiding the "safety pack" vehicles. ABS is great for on road there is no denying that what so ever. But off road... Sliding, actually no rolling backwards down a steep hill because the ABS keeps releasing the brakes from locking is no fun at all!

The ABS shouldn't be doing that under a certain speed i can't remember what speed that is supposed to be, yeah the 3 litre goes well but wait until you decide to tow something ::()

I'll keep a record of consumption for you guys.
Pick it up saturday I think.

It was the best one I'd seen by a long shot. By the time we put a lot of the other vehicles "on road" the difference between this one and an "average" one was negligable so we went with this one.
Plus this one comes with a 1 year RACV membership and a 2 year warranty none of the other had that.
The next best one we saw was slightly cheaper but the drivers side seat was shagged and there woucl have been a good $600 having it fixed up. damn thing wasnt bad enough to be un road worthy though so the yard didnt have to fix it :(
