Easter destinations?

Postby jollyroger » Sun Apr 01, 2007 1:42 pm

Come I want to know where you are all heading for easter?

We are heading to Port Broughton which is just south of Port Misery (oops I mean Port Pirie)
The fishing is apprently great at the moment. The Camper Trailer is packed and we have two new camper stretchers for the kids. Looking forward to four days of camping. Don't care if it rains - we need it.

Where are you off to?
 8) 8)

Cathedral Ranges. It will probably be easter weekend though holidays have never meant much to me. I homeschool my son but the little tacker has done some awesome work his first two months in, he's nearly reading already! So he definately deserves a break from it, and I definately need to get out. So we'll just jump in the car and drive off down to the Ranges and find somewhere out of the way to pitch our tents. Probably Saturday, just for the one night and two days.

At this stage we don't have any plans to go away, but we'll wait until the Friday and decide, I'd like to go for at least a night or two but last easter we got majorly pissed on and it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Fonty,

That sounds brilliant. I would love to go off on a whim like that and just say what the heck this will do. We tend to plan and then plan a little more and just in case plan a tad more too. So i think I have to try that approach this year.

The Central Ranges are stunning. A little cool at night though? Do it and reward the kids.

A few nights at Carmila Beach. Hope it's not crowded, and I hope the fish are biting!

I am off to Bundy, got some friends from Mackay coming down so a big weekend of 4WDriving and probably copious amounts of beer will be consumed over those 4 days :?# Oh I might put the pots on too so I can get myself something to eat, no crabs in Gladstone I can tell you that.
