Couple in Adelaide

Postby homekegger1 » Mon Apr 09, 2007 6:28 pm

Hi all,

Well we are a couple who currently reside in Adelaide. The term "DINK" is what is best to describe us.(Double income no kids) However we do have a border collie X Blue heeler that loves to keep us entertained. Together our camping experience is very limited. Never did much as children but a few years ago we decided to take it up, due to the fact that we were struggling with money and thought it would be a cheaper option to get otu and do things.

We started with a $10 tent, one cheap esky and our bedding from our bed. They were baron days but they surficed. Although being restricted to using just camp parks was our only draw back. We couldn't really go for too long out bush with what we had. I mean we could load up the boot and we were ready to go. Set up camp in 15mins and be on the beer(Not a bad thing of course)

Last week we just purchased our first camper trailer. It is an on-roader but it is all we really need for now. We also have a camp fridge, back up power and a generator if needed. We have come along way since those early days 3 years ago :+

Living in Adelaide provides opportunity to travel and see some of what Australia has to offer and we intend on taking that challenge. We are planning a trip up the Oodnadatta Track later this year and of course what ever else pops up.

So there we are. I am early 30's, She is mid 20's.

Looking forward to many a great stories of caming OZ

Oddly enough my sis and bro' in law are Craig and Emma!

In regard to the dogs ... a ot of caravan parks allow you to take dogs (on a leash) so if you are happy wit that you can always go to a caravan park with the dogs and nick off during the day and do what you want until you return. We have a greyhound that loves the beach so we go to coastal spots, let him rin wild, then head back to the park.
