Cobram Camp Oven Capers and Bush Poetry Day

Postby Derek Bullock » Thu Apr 12, 2007 6:58 pm

Short notice I know but I will be demonstrating camp oven cooking using heat beads at the Cobram Camp Oven Capers and Bush Poetry Day this Sunday afternoon. If you manage to be in the area call in and say hello.

Regards

It was a great day. Check out just a couple of the the photos from the day below.

The setup in front of my camper trailer. I was running 5 camp ovens. 2 Bedouries, a Hillbilly, an old cast iron and an Aussie Camp Oven.

Not often I do an exhibition without pumpkin fruit muffins. The camp ovens behind me were cooking beef for a formal dinner tonight

Apple cobbler is always appreciated

Roast beef stuffed with smoked oysters and wrapped in bacon always goers down well.

It's a Weber Charcoal Chimney. Gets heat beads to a usable state in half the normal time.

Photo below is a close up with just enough heat beads for a Bedourie Camp Oven.
