Meet & Greet - NSW

Postby Derek Bullock » Sat Apr 14, 2007 10:04 pm

Folks

I am interested in fostering a get together of folk, from on the forum, from around New South Wales. Maybe later in the year after winter has passed. We could choose somewhere central for the majority and perhaps spend a long weekend in the bush. If anyone is interested then post here.

Should give HEAPS of notice, and make it in some place really nice, but really remote, so everyone has to travel. My vote would be Mungo National park (not to be confused with Mungo Brush, in Myall Lakes). Its near the geographical center of NSW (can't get much more central than that :armsup )

Either that or tie it in with something else, like the Tammworth country music festival

I'd like to go, but it depends on allot of other factors

Been giving it a bit of thought. I would suggest somewhere around Bathurst - possibly Hillend as it is fairly easy to get to from most parts of NSW.

That's a long way from home Scolers! I mentioned broken hill to hubby and he gave me that "I married a crazy lady" look (yeah I get that alot), think we are out of the camping scene till it's a bit warmer, we are big woosies.

Ahh well ... at least you asked! I just thought I'd mention that we are going thru that way and then if anyone else was/ is considering it we could catch up ... all of a sudden I don't feel special anymore ... :(

Derek,

Great idea. Best thing is to book the date well in advance so people who are interested will make the effort.

I will look on with interest and hopefully will have the CT ready by then.
We also have two kids so don't mind meeting other people with kids.

Aawwwww Scolers you're still special! I actually have the outback nsw tourist brochure sitting next to the computer, still doesn't seem to entice him. I would love to see menindee and mungo :( Oh well if you get lost and end up in Sydney let us know
