On the last day we spent most of the day slowly packing up the campsite, it was hot and luckily i bought my tarp setup to keep some shade happening. With the trailors loaded and the vehicles packed we just started to pull down the tarp when the heavens opened up. All out gear except the tarp was packed and it was bucketing down. After about 15-20 minutes of standing under the tarp under HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY rain we decided that we could either keep standing around all afternoon waiting for the rain to stop or quickly pull it down, all the poles, ridge poles, ropes, pegs etc and throw it all in the trailor and get a little wet. So we started to pull it down, it only took 6-7 minutes to get it all down with 4 of us doing it but we were drenched in no time.
So after 5 days on the beach, we got soaked to the bone in the last 7 minutes at the campsite trying to pull down the same thing that was supposed to keep us dry! Oh well, it was worth it
