I came across this recipe a while ago for damper.
3 cups Self Raising Flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
375ml ( a can) lemonade
Mix it all together and cook for about 20 mins. I then put them into a cake tin and into the camp oven, or at home a 180 oven.
The other day someone gave me a variation which was for scones which was
3 cups SR flour
1 cup of cream
1 can of lemonade
Again mix it well, don't knead as you will lose the air from the lemonade, and put them out in a dish shaped as balls. They probalby look like rock cakes rather than scones, but they do taste good especially hot and fresh.
