Planning my Dec trip to crowdy bay, so far:

$21 beach driving pass.
$6 For 3 day recreational fishing license.
$22 For vehicle pass to the National Park I'm camping in.
$20 In camp fees ($5/night) for the same park.
There's $60+ down the drain b4 I even reach the servo to fill up

Bloody beach driving passes piss me off ... it's not like they have to replace the sand ... just another friggen' beauractrical way of draggng more $$$ from you.

I guess the bright side is we don't live in Vic ... they're not even allowed to drive on beaches there ...

Think the money is not going to be the worst of your holiday troubles, from what I have read of your post Ozzycamperboy you mainly camp in isolated places.

Think you will find this park will be populated, we visited at the end of August and I would say there were 10 caravans and a couple tents on site.

Then again being able to drive down the beach should get you away from the crowds.

Cheers
Kate

Would sorely love to. But, have to organise it somewhere that my lazy mates will actually go to. 1/2 would prolly go tho, so probly an idea for next time. That and its hard to get time off work, then the fuel and time to drive all that way.

Might just have to move there

There's some really top places around here Oz. In Perth the closest 'decent' place was about 1.5hrs away ... even that could get packed at times. I've just come back from a place that was 50mins away and the place was near on empty. And did I mention the dinner that the Progress Assocation put on for $6? We're heading back.
