3 new happy campers

Postby bjg_thompson » Mon Sep 03, 2007 12:40 pm

Hi all,
Just stopped in to say hello and introduce ourselves.
We are just a small family of three (mum, dad and 6yo daughter) from Birkdale, Redlands and finally ventured forth on our first camping trip this past weekend. Green Mountains was our choice, and a very nice one at that....all except for the windy road between Canungra and O'Reilly's.
It took us a few hours to set up camp for the first time - is that unusual? - but we learnt heaps and I'm sure we'll get faster as we go along.

Looking forward to sharing stories and tips along the way.

Cheers.

Welcome aboard. Good to see another Qlder and Redlander on the forum. :+

I'm just a suburb away at Alex Hills. My son goes to Birkdale School.

O'Reillys is a nice spot to start off with. My wife will agree though on the road to being too winding.+

Never argue with a fool! They drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience!

2007 Outlander, 2005 MODCON Redlander, 2003 DMH Overlander and four human Redlanders!

Welcome aboard

Yes it takes ages to set up when you first start out. The instructions usually tell you things can be set up in minutes but they don't tell you that this is after many hours of practice.

Enjoy the great outdoors :)
