Labour Day Weekend coming up

Postby Scolers » Tue Feb 21, 2006 1:19 pm

Not this weekend but next weekend we have a public holiday on the Monday so my family and I are off to Cervantes which is a coastal town approx. 230k's north of Perth.

Lot's of beach so swimming and fishing will be on the agenda for us. Pick the lad up from school Thursday arvo and off we go ... we extended the weekend a bit more ... :D

FYI

Cervantes is where the Pinnacles are ... I'm sure most of you have hear of them.

Cheers ...

It's named after a French boat that sank off the coast. Actually, Cervantes Island is named after te boat that sank and the town is named after the island.

:?

French or not, it's quiet (usually) with some good beaches for swimming, fishing and losing the dog.

I think NSW has a public holiday a few weeks later whereas we dont get that one...all up every state geets ten days worth of public holidays ... they just move them around a bit too confuse everyone ... so much for Federation!

As long as it doesn't pour the entire time you're there, it'll be ok. Xmas two years ago, we camped at Nambucca Heads and it rained for 10 out of the 14 days we were there! Not just showers either - poured!! :(
