You need to adjust the dates to include November.

4 Nov is ok for me.

From memory on the poll a couple of people said they can only do saturdays, perhaps the 3 Nov might be better.

I am going to do a recon to Sharp Park on Saturday and I will post some photos and thoughts as a possible venue.

A couple links on Sharp Park

OK lets lock in Saturday 3 November.

Lets give the venue decision a few days as I go and check out Sharp Park on the weekend, as it may be worth considering. If anyone got any thoughts/photos of Sharp Park please post them.

I'm thinking about camping at the venue that weekend (Fri - Sun) as I'm itching for some camping. Anyone else interested?

Kazzakanary, if a few people camp over you might think about coming down on the 4th and catch up.

The only camping at Mt Tamborine is the 2 campgrounds at Thunderbird park, which can be quite busy and you are looking at approx $24 to 26 a night for a family of four.

See anything good on this site we could look at?

Perhaps we could look at a day spot and some could then move on to a overnight park??

G'day everyone.

I visted Sharp Park and Mt Tamborine yesterday.

I have posted photos for Sharp Park in the Aust Park Review section at the following link.

http://forum.camping.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=1906

I found Sharp Park to be a good site for a forum get together. Its not too far away, has a day use area and offer opportunities for people to camp if they wish at the park or adjacent River Bend. There is a creek adjacent to the park which will keep the kids amused, and where parents can supervise from under shady tree.

We also drove through Mt Tamborine. Overall we found the place real busy, just people everywhere and one issue is that parking is at a premium. Nearly everywhere we went we either got the last park or had to park in the bus parking bay etc. The facilities at the parks were also limited just a couple of tables. It would be difficult to accommodate a group of any real size. I have posted below some photos.

Look it would be good for small trips if you get their early to get a park.
