Found this site when looking round for some offroad/outback stuff.
My wife and I are retired in our early 60s and have been out and about in ths great country of ours for years.
Large tent camping with the kids many years ago, then when they were off our hands we graduated to offroad camping trailers and saw quite a bit of the far north Queensland Outback.
From there we did the caravan thing, but as there are just far too many on the road these days we sold and then went to stopping in onsite CP cabins as we travelled around.
Now we have the urge to get "down and dirty" again and are looking at another 4X4 and off road camper trailer - probably a Kimberley Kamper or similar.
Trips on the agenda include the Kimberley [Gibb River and Mitchell Plateau], Tanami, across the top, and a few other places.
In the next year or so we want to get as far into the outback as we can - miles away from Coles, Woolworths, McDonalds, KFC and all the rubbish associated with that style of living.
Looking forward to some pleasant reading as we check this site out.
